    Sterilisation
    Female Sterilisation:
This is usually done as a laparoscopy procedure under general anaesthetic. Treatment involves an incision made in the lower abdomen and a thin instrument introduced to put either clips or rings on the tube.

    Male Sterilisation (Vasectomy):
Treatment involves two small incisions made at the top of the scrotum under local or general anaesthetic. One - two centimetres of the vas tube is removed on each side.
