A Podiatrist is a health professional who is
concerned with the assessment, prevention and
management of foot and lower leg problems that may
involve the skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments,
bones, joints, cartilage and nerves.
Podiatrists treat and advise on foot problems
in areas ranging from sports injuries, disorders
in children, to the management of foot problems in
older people and people with disabilities.
Many conditions can be treated very effectively
with non-invasive methods such as the use of
orthotics. (custom made functional insoles)
