    Optometry
    Optometry is the art of examining the eye and adnexa for defects and for prescribing correctional devices or exercises but not surgery.
    It encompasses spectacle lenses (bifocals etc), contact lenses (various types), investigative techniques eg visual fields (side vision), funduscopy (retinal camera) and colourimetry (dyslexia). Disorders of the eye may require treatment by an ophthalmologist.
