    Allergies
    If you have a reaction to a substance, that would not usually cause a reaction in a person, it is called an 'allergy'. Common allergies include; various foods, bee and wasp stings, dust and medicines. Allergic reactions are caused by hypersensitivity of the immune system. The immune system normally protects the body against harmful substances such as viruses, toxins and bacteria, but allergies occur when the immune system reacts to substances (allergens) that are usually harmless
