Indinavir
Sulphate equivalent to Indinavir

Indications:
Treatment of HIV infection
in combination with antiretroviral agents.
Description:
Indinavir
inhibits the HIV viral proteinase enzyme which prevents
cleavage of the gag-pol polyprotein, resulting in
noninfectious, immature viral particles.
Contraindications
Concomitant therapy with
amiodarone, cisapride, ergot derivatives, midazolam,
pimozide, or triazolam; hypersensitivity to any
component
Dosage :
Adults: 800mg orally every 8 hours with water 1 hour
before or 2 hours after a meal. Patient should drink
atleast 1.5 litres of liquids in 24 hours.
Presentations: 30 caps.
