Indications :
Chloroquine-resistant falciparum
malaria, and as alternative
therapy for chloroquine-sensitive
strains of P. falciparum, P.
malariae, P. ovale and P. vivax.
Description:
Quinine inhibits nucleic
acid
synthesis, protein synthesis, and
glycolysis in Plasmodium
falciparum and can
bind
with hemazoin in parasitized
erythrocytes.
Dosage :
Qinarsol Tablets should be taken with
food or after meals.
Adults : 300 mg (2 tablets) every 8 hours for 3 to 7 days.
