Indications
:
Nerovir in combination with other
antiretroviral agents is indicated for
the treatment of HIV infection.
Description:
Nelfinavir inhibits the HIV viral
proteinase enzyme which prevents
cleavage of the gag-pol polyprotein,
resulting in noninfectious, immature
viral particles.
Contraindications
Nelfinavir
is contraindicated in patients with
clinically significant hypersensitivity
to any of its components.
Dosage :
Adults : 1.25g twice daily or 750mg
thrice daily. Children: 3-13 yrs.
initially 25-30mg/kg thrice daily. Not
recommended for children under 3 years
of age.
